For this discussion, we will assume that you have already my post on becoming a Clickbank Affiliate, if not, go here to read the article and then come back.

If you are Serious about creating a Successful Internet Business, you should invest in a Domain Name, a Landing Page, a Hosting Account, and an Autoresponder. Today, I'm going to show you what these four tools will do for you to help you accomplish your goal on Online Money Making.

First, a Domain Name. Using your Affiliate ID link is unappealing for several reason.s It's Ugly. Usually something like "yournickname.productname.hop.clickbank.net." It's not something anyone could easily remember. And, more importantly, a lot of people don't like to click on affiliate links. I can't explain why, but they don't like the thought of a stranger making money from them.

Get your Own Domain Name. You can get one at GoDaddy, or lots of other places, for $9.99 a year. Make it something people can remember and associate with you. If you're selling a cat training ebook, look for something relevant like bestcattrainingtips.com. (like you can train a cat!) It's easier to promote your own domain name. It sends the message that you have established your own internet marketing business in your niche.

Now that you have a domain name, you need to put up a website using that name. You want what's called a Landing page, Squeeze page, Magnetizer page, or Capture page. All different names for the same thing. This is the page your customers are taken to when they click on your domain name.

A Landing page is the only way you can build a list. To develop a list of customers, you must collect your customer's name and email. After your customer has left his or her information and hit enter, they are then taken to your product sales page.

The Landing page can be short and simple. The purpose of the page is to convince your visitor to leave their name and email. By doing this, they "opt in" to your list. In exchange for the visitor's information, you could offer some kind of giveaway, a Free report, E-Book, Audio, or Email course. An effective landing page has a few more considerations than this. Look at this example

While anyone can write the copy for a landing page, actually turning that copy into a website is slightly more difficult. Some gifted people can do this. Most can't-I can't. For this reason, I've included this as an expense in starting your Online Business. You can have your page put on the web by someone from Rent-a-Coder for $100, sometimes less.

The other thing you'll need to get your Landing page on the web is a Hosting account. That is, a company that "hosts" your page on the internet. This will cost about $30 a month. You can certainly find it for less (or more). Just make sure you go with a good company, my favorite is WebHotMonkey, so that your site is not frequently down and unavailable to your customers.

Your Internet Marketing Success is dependent upon an Autoresponder. Aweber is the most popular. It's about $20 a month. An Autoresponder is the service that collects your customers' names and email addresses. You can then go into your autoresponder and set up a series of emails to automatically go out to your customers at intervals of your choosing. You can also send one-time emails to your entire list whenever you choose. This is a great way to notify your whole list of a new product you're promoting that would interest them.

An Autoresponder is how you build a relationship with your customer. Your emails shouldn't always just be selling something. Tell your customers a little bit about yourself, your online business, and maybe some trials and tribulations. Give them good, Free advice. If they like and trust you, they'll buy from you the next time you have a new product recommendation.

Get Fab Abs: Eating Guidelines

To get the number on the scale to go down, you have to chow down. (And work out — but more on that here.)

Between 10 and 30 percent of the calories you use each day get burned by the simple act of digesting your food. Now that’s pretty cool — satisfying your food cravings actually fries calories! But not all foods are created equal. Your body uses more calories to digest protein (about 25 burned for every 100 consumed) than it does to digest fats and carbohydrates (10 to 15 burned for every 100 consumed).

That’s why the Abs Diet concentrates on adding lean, healthy proteins. Eat more of them, in a sensible way, and you’ll torch more calories. Protein is also the nutrient that builds muscle — and the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism and the more calories you’ll burn throughout the day. When you lift and lower weights, you create microscopic tears in your muscles. To mend the tears, your body parachutes in new protein to assess the damage and repair the muscle. Proteins fortify the original cell structure by building new muscle fibers.

1. Guideline - Eat six times a day.
Key concept: “energy balance”–that is, how many calories you’re burning versus how many you’re taking in. Researchers at Georgia State University found that if you keep your hourly surplus or deficit within 300 to 500 calories at all times, you will best be able to lose fat and add lean muscle mass. If you eat only three squares a day, you’re creating energy imbalances: Between meals, you’re burning more calories than you’re taking in; at mealtimes, you’re consuming more than you’re burning. So alternate larger meals with smaller snacks and eat every 2 to 3 hours. It will keep you full and satisfied, which reduces the likelihood of a diet-destroying binge.

Smoothies–blended mixtures of milk, low-fat yogurt, whey protein powder, ice, and other good stuff from the Powerfoods list — can act as meal substitutes and potent snacks. They require little time; berries, flavored whey powder, or peanut butter will satisfy your sweet tooth; and their thickness takes up space in your stomach. So get a blender and whip up an 8-ounce smoothie for breakfast or have one before or after your workout.

4. Guideline - Stop counting.
By eating the 12 Powerfoods and their many relatives, the foods themselves will, in a way, count your calories for you. They’ll keep you healthy and satisfied. Plus, the most energy-?efficient foods are almost like bouncers at a nightclub: They’re not going to let any of the riffraff in without your approval. That said, it’s always wise — especially in the beginning, when you’re most vulnerable and adjusting to a new way of eating — to focus on portion control by limiting the servings of some foods, particularly the ones with fat (like peanut butter) and carbohydrates (like rice or bread). A good rule: Stick to one or two servings per food group and confine the total contents of each meal to the diameter of your plate.

5. Guideline - Know what to drink — and what not to.
There are many ways that alcohol can get you into trouble. It doesn’t make you feel full or decrease the amount of food you consume. In fact, alcohol encourages your body to burn up to 36 percent less fat and makes you store more of the fat you eat. And it can inhibit your body’s production of hormones that help burn fat and build muscle. If you can’t pass up your pinot, limit yourself to two or three alcoholic drinks a week. Water may not be as exciting as ‘Weiser, but drinking about eight glasses of the clear stuff a day has a lot of benefits. It helps keep you satiated (often what we interpret as hunger is ?really thirst). It flushes the waste products your body makes when it breaks down fat for energy or when it processes protein. And it transports nutrients to your muscles to keep your metabolism clicking. Otherwise, the best drinks you can have are low-fat milk and green tea (or, if you must, two glasses of diet soda a day).

6. Guideline - For one meal a week, forget the first five guidelines.
We would never advocate cheating on your spouse or your taxes. But we want you to cheat on this diet. Take one meal during the week and forget everything about good carbohydrates and good fats. Have half a pizza, a Kit Kat, Alfredo sauce, or whatever it is you miss the most. Think of this cheat meal as the carrot at the end of a good week of eating. Enjoy the gluttony — and please, don’t take “carrot” literally.

The Dog Whisperer: What Your PET Can Teach You

I am honored that so many people look to me to help them enjoy more fulfilling relationships with their dogs, but the truth is that the dogs themselves have been my teachers. The most valuable lessons I've received have come from animals. Here are some of the ways dogs have helped me become a better, happier, and more-balanced human being.



Live In The Moment.

People often wonder how I get such quick results with the dogs I rehabilitate. The answer is simple: Dogs live in the moment. They don't regret the past or worry about the future. If we can learn to appreciate and focus on what's happening in the here and now, we'll experience a richness of living that other members of the animal kingdom enjoy.



Nurture a Balanced Life.

I tell my clients to follow this simple rule with their dogs: Offer exercise, discipline, and affection every day. Do the same for yourself. We humans are happier if our routines include physical activity, a sense of structure, and the opportunity to give and receive love on a daily basis.



Trust Your Instincts.

Animals don't care about words. They recognize that what's really going on in any interaction is beneath the surface. Many of us have lost touch with this all-important instinctual part of our natures. By paying close attention to nonverbal cues such as body language and energy, we can learn more about our friends, our loved ones, and ourselves.



Be Direct and Consistent in Your Communication.

Many of my clients only intermittently enforce rules, leaving their pets confused about that is and isn't acceptable behavior. Great relationships, no matter the species, begin with clear and consistent communication. This is a lesson we should carry into other areas of our lives-with our family, our friends, and at work. Remember: We teach people how to treat us.



Learn to Listen.

Make the time to lend an ear to those you love or those who want to transform their lives. But don't try to fix their problems, and don't take their problems personally, either. A great leader is also a great follower and knows that everybody counts.



Don't Hold Grudges.

There's a remarkable lack of conflict in dog packs. That's because members resolve the situation when disagreements arise, then move on. Imagine what our world would be like if we dealt with our conflicts before they escalated out of control. Holding onto negative feelings tends to make them multiply and prevent us from moving forward.



Live With Purpose.

When dogs are bored, they develop issues ranging from anxiety to aggression. But when given a job and a way to contribute to the pack's well-being, they turn around almost immediately. All animals-including humans-have an inborn need to work for food and water. Ask yourself how you can contirbute more to your job, your family, and the world around you. You'll feel much better about yourself if you earn your food and water, too.



Celebrate Every Day.

For a dog, every morning is Christmas morning. Every walk is the best walk, every meal is the best meal, every game is the best game. We can learn so much by observing the way our pets rejoice in life's simples moments. Take time every day to celebrate the many gifts that are hidden in the ordinary events of your own life.

Should Women Really Be Carrying Tasers?

With their pink trim and $350 price tag, Tasers are being sold as the new must-have. But is there any good reason to keep 50,000 volts in your purse?


The Great Debate


YES! Every two minutes someone is sexually assaulted in America.

And every 5.7 minutes there's a rape. Ordinarily, the Taser lets you take down potential attackers without injuring them. If you feel you are being threatened, you have the right to defend yourself, and a Taser is the humane way to do that. It's like putting on your seat belt. Do I want to use it? No. Do I have it in case I need it? Yes.

Once, as a guest at a police training session, I received a Taser-like shock. I fell down and had no muscle control. If that device had een in the hands of an assailant, I would have been helpless. If not properly controlled, Tasers could wind up being used in crimes. Women need ways to protect themselves, but I think self-defense training is the better plan.

The Truth Is That Your Success Has Nothing to do With What You Might Think!

I thought about making one of those really crazy headlines where I told you that I had the secret to making a gazillion dollars in 10 minutes, but I don't want to insult you or your intelligence.


Here's what you need to know that has a way bigger effect on your pocketbook than marketing, systems, or advanced web tools. Your success comes down to only 1 person and that person is YOU!

2 Hormones Found to Play Key Romantic Roles

In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns...but whither, when the year is young?
It matters not, for as long as the hormones are in tune, love can bloom at any time, say scientists who study the genetics and neurobiology of animals whose family thrives shed new light on human sexuality.

Larry J. Young, a Georgia neurobiologist, studies the genes and hormones of the cute but often pestiferous little rodents called prairie voles that mate and bond for life.
The same genes and hormones exist in humans, and in a uniquely literate essay in Thursday's issue of the journal of Nature, Young pointed to the role they play in animals and humans.

"Poetry it is not. Nor is it particularly romantic. But reducing Love to its comprehensive parts helps us to understand human sexuality, and may lead to drugs that enhance or diminish our love for another," he said.

Young, a professor in the psychiatry department at Emory University in Atlanta and the Yerkes National Primate Research Center there, has discovered that two closely related peptide hormones called oxytocin and vasopressin play powerful roles in both animal and human sexuality.
"I call oxtocin the motherly hormone," Young said in an interview, "because its release in the body of femaile voles is involved in uterine contractions, in lactation, and in the mother's early bonding with vole babies. It's also the homeone responsible for lifelong pair bonding between males and females."
"Vasopressin is closely related to oxytocin, but it's dependent on testosterone-so it's the macho version of oxytocin."

In the Bay Area, scientists say Young's research of togetherness in prairie voles is proving valuable to understanding many disorders in the human condition.
"Oxytocin is the hormone of monogamy," said neuropsychiatrist Louann Brizendine, who directs the Women's Mood and Hormone Clinic at the University of California-San Francisco, which also takes male patients.
"If you give men nasal squirts of oxytocin, it increases their trust in others, their ability to be affectionate-it brings out their feminine side, is how I'd put it. Years ago, a man I was seeing said to me, 'Give me some of that oxytocin-I just want to love someone!"

Since monogamy and love are examples of powerful human interactions, Brizendine believes the hormones involved also could prove important in disorders like autism, Asperger syndrome and even schizophrenia, whose victims exhibit difficulty finding close relationships with others.

Young's primary research shows the effects of the hormones on prairie voles, but he also discovered that oxytocin has similar effects on mountain voles, a different species that are not monogamous and do not pair-bond for life. When mountain voles are exposed to doses of oxytocin in the lab, the males will bond with females in a close and sometimes lifetime relationship like their cousins, Young said.
The new awareness of the role of hormones in human relations is underscored in books being published this year by both Keltner and Brizendine.
"Born to be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life," by psychologist Dacher Keltner, is out this week, and "The Male Brain," by Brizendine, will be published in September.
